Application Stops Responding While Meking a Remote Connection
When I connect to the firebird database (which is on my desktop) from my laptop using LAN every thing works fine but when I connect my desktop to the internet using a high speed dsl connection and my laptop through my mobile phone(which is a slower connection) and then try to connect to the database my application stops responding even though I change the connection string to reflect the proper IP address and loction of the database on my desktop.
Can Anyone Please Help.. Thanks |

Does it hang or does it become very slow?
Can you check through command line client?

Hangs....
I think it hangs as, when I try to connect to the database through "EMS InterBase & FireBird Manager Lite" same thing happens EMS stops responding too. I mean when I ctrl+alt+del it says Not Responding.
