Can't get Firebird to autostart on boot up
I've installed Firebird 2.0.3 on my Windows XP Professional PC but I can't get it to autostart on boot up. I chose the option to do so during the install but it doesn't work.
I checked the error log file and I'm getting the following error every time I boot: "C:\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_2_0\bin\fbserver.exe : The guardian was unable to launch the server thread. errno : 2" Does anyone know how to solve this problem? |

I'd simply reinstall ...
But, do you see the server correctly installed as a service in the services control panel? Can you start it manually from there?

I have reinstalled lots of times with no improvement.
I have since done an uninstall, but this time when it prompted whether to remove unused shared files I said "Yes to all". When I reinstalled, everything seems to be working properly. Maybe it was a conflicting DLL or something. Thanks for the help anyway! |
