embedded client and network database
Hey!
I’m using firebird for some of my applications, only recently I’ve been using the firebird embedded client in combination with the open ODBC driver. This combination works great as long the database itself is stored locally. When trying to use the database stored on a network path, I get a message like: ‘your user name and password are not defined. Ask your database administrator to setup a firebird login’. I tried to access the database with the default username sysdba/masterkey and with a self defined username (maybe I’m doing this wrong?) Could someone tell me what I’m doing wrong here?! |

You cannot use a networked datafile. If you want to use a central datafile, use the full server, not the embedded one.
