Question Does FB have something like Oracle's Dual table?

    Hello there.
I'm kinda new to FireBird (and Oracle too, but that's another story...), so this question may sound stupid, but here it goes anyway:
Is there a way to do something like "SELECT current_timestamp FROM [dummy table name] (like in Oracle) or without the FROM clause at all, (like in MSSql)?

    Thanks in advance

    use the FB style:
    Code:
    SELECT current_timestamp FROM rdb$database
"rdb$database" or any table with only one row (for an singleton result).
Romania it's a beautiful country ... too bad that it's populated with ... peoples!
