Firebird + ?Connection Provider = Crystal Report
Hi everyone, I am new to FireBird.
Does anyone know how to connect between Firebird and Crystal Report in MS Visual Studio 2005. It seems that ODBC is ok.(Only searched many sites on the web not tried) But each time I setup the program I need to set an ODBC connections seperately, is that right?By the way, how can we connect in the VB forms and Firebird. Where can I find some example of the connection string and data provider settings? Thanks in advance. |

See this site for the latest ODBC driver, there you can find also some examples.
My blog contains a post with a small example of ASP and Firebird. Search this forum for Crystal and Firebird or better ... put it up and write a small tutorial.

Further help is needed
Thanks a lot for your help.
The reference you suggested for connecting the Forms is well ok, they are very helpful. But the info for connecting Crystal Report doesn't work for me. Anyway, I think an programmer like you with so many experiences must have many experiences connecting Firebird and Crystal Report, could you try to quote one from them? Just one is enough, thanks in advance again. |
