FireBird Newbie, Help Please

I got some questions on Firebird.

I develop softwares using VB6 and MS SQL Server 2000 under windows environment,
MSSQL is expensive and cannot be distributed with my software that's why I want to migrate to FireBird.

- Is FireBird totally Free?

- Does it have the same Graphic User interface that of like MS SQL Server 2000?

- Does it recognize the same language MSSQL can recognize?

- Can you give me what tools do I need to migrate to MS SQL?

Hope you guys can help me.

Thank you very much.

Not same, but, IMHO, better. Check out www.ibexpert.com.

It does'nt recognize Micro$oft's extensions to the SQL. If you have used ANSI SQL, everything will work. BTW, Firebird have some nice extensions to SQL language
