Firebird SQL 1.5 on MS Windows 2003 Storage Server 64 Bit

Hello,

at first sorry for my bad english :-(

So, does any one have experence with the firebird db 1.5 on a ms windows 2003 storage server 64 bit?

I know, itīs unusual to use a database on a storage OS - but i donīt have an other way

No 64 bit version of Firebird 1.5 around. This might be your main problem.
Firebird 2.1 supports Win64.

As far as the experience goes, I don't have any but I'm pretty shure it will work

Firebird 2.1 should work on win64
win2003 storage server is just win2003 so it should work on it

Thanks for the informations

My problem is, that the software runs only on firebird 1.5x (statement software manufactures).

I hope, that the firebird 1.5 runs in 32 bit mode on the server.

Next monday a technicans from the software manufacturers will come to us and install the software.

The software manufactures give us no informations if it will run on a 64 bit OS or not

Alternative Iīll install a Windows 2003 Standard Server 32 Bit in a virtual maschine - with all the performance loos.

So, I hope you can understand my english
