from the devel-list

All,

I'll be setting the CVS tag and making the final binaries tomorrow. Port
maintainers, please ensure that you distribute the examples database in
dialect 3 and v1.08 of the release notes.

Comments anyone?

Dmitry

All,

The final win32 binaries are already built and uploaded to the SF release
area, but marked as hidden so far. Once the win32 installer and both Linux
packages are ready and also uploaded as hidden (I expect it to happen over
the weekend), we should:

1) make all RC packages (for win32 and Linux) hidden
2) activate the final packages to make them visible
3) email release notice for all packages
4) make a public announcement (press release)

The project admins and release managers have access to the hidden packages
to ensure everything is done correctly. If Chris (or Erik or John) could
proceed with the appropriate ports in time, it would be much appreciated.

There were no functional changes made between RC9 and the final release. The
CVS tag is R1_5_0 (the current state of the B1_5_Release branch). The latest
(v1.08, aka final) release notes are available here:
http://www.ibphoenix.com/downloads/...eleaseNotes.pdf
and should be included in every v1.5 package being released.

People here, please don't make any announcements until the project decides
to do so officially.

P.S. I'll be out of my city for three days without access to my private
email, but I'll be reading this newsgroup to be in sync with the process. If
you'll be ready to announce the release before Tuesday, please do so.
Otherwise, I'll take care about issues once I'm back. Good luck!

Dmitry
