How to store search date?

hi, i will like to know how can i search for date for example i want to search the transaction occur between november to december 2005 how can i do that?

I'll show you an example based on employee.fdb sample database, which comes with Firebird.

sql Code:

Original - sql Code
select PO_NUMBER from SALES WHERE extract(month from ORDER_DATE) between 2 and 3 and extract(year from ORDER_DATE) = 1993;

SELECT PO_NUMBER FROM SALES WHERE
extract(month FROM ORDER_DATE) BETWEEN 2 AND 3
AND
extract(year FROM ORDER_DATE) = 1993;
