Link one master tbl to three different tables

and place the result set from each of the three tables into a single column in the result set. The master table has a Item_Type (1,2,3 values) column that determines which master recs to link to which of the three linked tables. I.E. MasterTable.Item_Type 1 links to Table1. MasterTable.Item_Type 2 links to Table2. MasterTable.Item_Type 3 links to Table3. Impossible. Rt?
Thx
Sam H.

I think we need more information to give you a definitive answer; but it looks as if some variation of a UNION query would do the trick.
