Manipulating a Firebird application using VBA

Hi all,
Theres a progam created using Firebird as described here:

http://www.lasa.org.uk/aims/aims_what.shtml#version

I want to be able to enter data into the firebird application from an Office application (e.g. Excel) using VBA.

I want to also be able to extract data from the application using VBA.

Does anyone know how i can do this please?

Many thanks in advance!!

You can connect to Firebird from Excel/Access/VBA through it's ODBC driver, see the sticky "resources" on top of this forum for the download link.

BTW: Nice to see another professional user of Firebird

Thanks for the quick reply. Im afraid i am only an beginner VBA programmer - and therefore i dont know what an ODBC is. i cant make sense of the information at the link you provided.

Could you give me an example please - of how i could use the ODBC driver?

Thanks again.
