Max table size and DB size in Firebird
I am new to Firebird. Does anyone know what are1.the maximum size of a table 2.the maximum database size of Firebird 3.the maximum number of tables in one database Is there any website about the specification of Firebird? Thanks in advance. ![]() |

The teoretical limits are far beyond the level attainable by anyone who asks such a question (this is based on my personal experience
).However might want to read the old limits, note that Firebird 2.0 (now very close to production quality) has rised them. Theoretical max table size is 32 TB.

Thank you so much.
Firebird is so powerful. It is far beyond the limitation of MS Access which its limitation is only 2GB for the whole DB. Though Firebird is free to use, it's much better. ![]() |

Note that a database can be made of many smaller files instead of a single huge one, this makes everything more manageable.
