Romanian chars(unicode) in firebird
Anyone worked with Romanian chars (or Cyrillic) in firebird
ps: i'm new to unicode so need some examples

1.created database with ISO-8859-2 charset
2.I have tried to insert with ibexpert , it doesn't work sh tz became s and t
3.Isql doesn't work (cmd.exe - windows console limits ?)
4.I will make sql script in vim /notepad
anyone worked with east european languages ?

on ISQL you have to use following command:
SET NAMES ISO8859_2;

Or in FB 1.5.1...
Starting with FB1.5.1 you can also connect with character set NONE and make all charset translations on the client side.
This makes most sense, when the tool used for accessing FB has these conversions built in, like the .NET provider or KInterbasDB (the Python interface).
Connecting with character set NONE is the only option when you have different, incompatible character sets in your tables, e.g. Cyrillic and ISO-8859-2.
