Weird File Size Problem
I've doing some testing using Firebird 1.5 (going from IB6.0), and I'm running into a strange problem (On both a Windows 2000 Pro workstation and a Windows 2003 Server).
It seems that I can connect to any .GDB file under about 12MB, but anything bigger than that, I get "file c:\file.gdb is not a valid database". If I use IB6, they all work fine. Any ideas ? |

OK, figured this one out finally... Apparently, all of the GDB files that were over 12MB, were initially created in IB4 (ODS 8.2) and never updated to ODS 10 (client forgot to tell me that part !!!), so FB could not handle.
Backkup & Restore did the trick. |
