    ASP.NET connection string help

    I copied this connection string from the Firebird DotNet provider help, but I can't seem to get it to work. Is there perhaps something I'm missing?

    Thanks for any help!

    --Brent

    Connect string:
    --------------------------------
    "User=SYSDBA;Password=masterkey;Database=theDBName.GDE;DataSource=localhost;Port=3050;Dialect=3;Char set=ISO8859_1;Role=;Connection lifetime=30;Pooling=true;Packet Size=8192;"

    The exception is as follows:
    -------------------------------
    Exception Details: FirebirdSql.Data.INGDS.GDSException: Exception of type FirebirdSql.Data.INGDS.GDSException was thrown.

    The error is this:
    -------------------------------
    FbException: I/O error during "CreateFile (open)" operation for file "theDBName.GDE"
    Error while trying to open file

    Exact name

    The exact name of the database is "CONVBDE.GDE"

    So the exact connection string is as follows:

    "User=SYSDBA;Password=masterkey;Database=CONVBDE.GDE;DataSource=localhost;Port=3050;Dialect=3;Charse t=ISO8859_1;Role=;Connection lifetime=30;Pooling=true;Packet Size=8192;"

    Also, if I replace

    Database=CONVBDE.GDE;

    with

    Database=c:\\FirebirdData\\CONVBDE.GDE;

    I get the same error.

    It's perplexing!
