My company uses software (Fishbowl Inventory) which runs on an embedded Firebird database. We recently installed a new operating system (Windows 7 Pro x64) on the server, which was previously running Windows SBS 2003. Fishbowl Inventory was then freshly installed and the database restored from a backup.

Now ODBC clients aren't able to *reliably* connect to the database through the network. They do connect, but queries are several orders of magnitude slow. This is on the exact same hardware. Same connection string even.

Any advice on troubleshooting this? Being that it's an embedded server, is there even much I can do to fix it?

Thanks for any advice.
