    Database not available

Created in 64 bit windows from sql script. Worked fine and opened in connection tab.

Opened and closed Delphi IDE to make sure db was being recognized.

Reopened the db and received an I/O error.

Restarted windows, reopened the db and response is "unavailable database"

Anybody know what is going on, and how I can fix this?

    Thumbs up

For Windows 7 64 you have to use FIrebird 64bits

    - Db build in enviroment 64
    - Verify the ODS (Firebird 1.x, 2.x, 2.5x etc...)
    - Library for 64bits (fbclient = 64bits)
    - try:

1-install Firebird (your choice) for 64bits
2-make one DB new (use the IBExpert for example)
    3-Try access it

After, try use it in your application!

REMEMBER: Delphi build EXE for 64bits, but, in time-design you'll use library in 32bits, and, on the construction you choice PLATAFORM 64bits.

Note: Verify your rights on the folder to access
