2 bugs in my Actionscript game

Hi

I've put together a simple game in Actionscript but there are 2 bugs in it. Here are the errors:

1. The explosion image of the destroyed alien ship keeps flashing on and off.

2. The player’s spacecraft isn’t destroyed when it collides with the alien one.

The player moves around with the arrow keys and fires with the spacebar. I'll send a zipped copy of the file on request. Many thanks all for your help. Cheers.
