.as file problem

Why is it that the interpreter can't find my .as file?

I did something like this in notepad::

trace("Hello From External")
//saved it as test.as in my temp folder.

Then in frame 1 I put::

#include "test.as"
saved the .fla in my temp folder.

Output::

error, file test.as not found?

What UP?

have you got your .fla & .as files saved in the same directory?

Notepad kept saving the file text.as.txt.

"text.as" forced the program to save it the way I needed. Also can be changed in Windows Explorer.
