Flash CS5 - Automatic notification of clicked link

I want to send a streamed flash .swf in an email in which there is a link. When the recipient clicks the link, the recipient goes to the link destination (ex., "For more information"), but I get an email that tells me that the recipient clicked the link.

Can anyone give me an idea as to the programming involved and does my email database on the server side have to be dealt with in a specific way? Any help would be appreciated.

Flash on its own can't do this but you could get it to call a server side script which can. An easier way might be to just use a customised url, so say at the moment the link they click is "http://www.example.com/information", you could change it to be "http://www.example.com/information?source=email". Then in your server web stats software you can easily see which ones arrived via the email link.
