Does anyone know the best movie size to use regardless of which browser (IE or Netscape) or screen resolution you user has. Somewhere I had found that information and now I can not find it again...I am pretty sure that the setting were as follows:
Dimensions: Percent 100% Scale Default (Show all) But I am unsure of the document size (stage) it was something like 764 x 620 I think |

If you really want to make it so that everyone can see it, you design for a
640x480 screen. Thankfully, most people browsing Flash websites have much better screens than that. Typical resolutions 800x600 1024x768 1280x854 1600x1200 Most people who view Flash sites will have at least 1024x768. If you ever want to project your work, you might want to stick with the 800x600 resolution. Newer more expensive projectors can get higher than this, but your typical $1000 projector only goes to 800x600. For stage size, For a standard web window with buttons, menus, etc. you need to subtract about 150 pixels from the height, and about 30 pixels from the width. If you use javascript to open a new window without all the buttons address bar, etc. you only need to subtract 40 pixels from the height. If you want to get exact, open a browser window on you screen, get a screen shot and count the pixels at the edges of your image. |

Even with more and more people with larger than 15 inch monitors it is still the industry standard to design for 800 x 600
