Can flash do this
I have a site which currently has three individual java applets doing a fade effect on 9 images, 3 images each applet. When the page loads, I have a script which checks the number of image file names in a database. The script then picks 9 random numbers from 1 to n. (n being the number of total images). When the page loads, the 9 image file names are inserted in the page, giving a fresh look each time. This will work for the client as they only need to size new images correctly, place them in a directory on the server, and then put their file names in the database. I can do this with flash? I am sure the effect can be achieved ( but notice on the site I have spacing between applets allowing change of background color) but I am interested in the querying of a database and seperate image files. I don't think Flash can do this...
