Create A Drop Down List

Hi..

I need to create a drop down list in a flash template that i have made.. the template should be smart enaf to decipher wat value the user has selected. so.. lets say the drop down values are {english, spanish, chinese, russian}, the user selects one of them, and clicks on 'go'.. so, the template should be able to figure out which value has been selected and take the user to the appropriate page..

i am a java programmer, so obviously know the algorithm and all that stuff in flash, but am relativly a newbie in flash, and am not sure how it woriks out in flash..

any suggestions?

ok.. i figured out how to create the lists.. how do i figure out which list item is selected when the user clicks on 'go'??

wat kind of actionscript wud i write and where wud it b?
