Db connection problems in D/MX

I am trying to connect my website to an Access database through me webhost server (Win2000) in Dreamweaver MX. I know from my webhost that I need to create a DSN-less connection and after using MapPath routine I have determined the correct connection string. I have created my connection in D/weaver. My Remote and Testing Server are set to the same information using the FTP instructions supplied by my webhost company. When I press the Test button in the connection dialog box I keep getting the following error message: HTTP Error Code 405 Method not Allowed. I have read the D/weaver help files, but I am unable to make the connection. I tried setting the Testing Server info to use a local host using PWS and this worked perfectly, it just seems to be trying to connect to the remote server I get problems. I use .asp pages but in the Testing Server I'm not sure if I should be using ASP VBScript or ASP Javascript, maybe it makes not difference?

Can anyone please offer my any suggestions as to how I can overcome this problem? Is it a problem with my web server company or something I'm not doing correctly in D/weaver.
