designing a pop-up menu using Dreamweaver MX

Hi there,

I have designed a horizontal navigation bar across the top of my page consisting of a series of categories (.gif's). When the user rolls over these I want sub menus to appear above the main categories. These sub menus will consist of three of four sub-catategories which the user can select (each a roll-over gif). When the mouse exits the area of the menue it should disappear. Does anybody know how I would do this with Dreamweaver MX (I don't know Javascript).

I have included a link to a site which uses a relatively similar navigation technique see 'graphic design' and 'web design' categories. However, I want the pop-up menus to appear above rather than below and I don't care if they just appear rather than slide:

URL

Any tips at all would be greatly appreciated.

thanks very much

michael

If you use place each gif in a layer you can position them wherever you want. Use the behaviours palette to set the visibility of each layer when the mouse rolls over a particular area (OnMouseover)

That should work
