embedding application in flash

Hope someone can suggest a good resource to research the following:

I am exploring the feasibility of using FlashComm as a platform for a virtual reference desk.

Flashcomm seems to have everything I require with chat and audio/videoconferencing.

However, is it possible to open a browser from within a flash movie. Sort of like a vnc connection from within flash. One of the requirements is a shared browser. Is this possible using any method you can think no matter how unorthodoxed?

it's not possible to do a standard browser per se, but if you are using Flash Comm server, you can make your own 'browser' that could be shared.. you would have to program your own browser functions (which might slow your app done a lot)... viewing web pages straight from the web like a standard browser would be pretty impossible though (if that's the type of browser you need, then i'd have to say it's impossible...)
