yeh, use the drawing API and simulate the z axis (the x and y are pretty straight forward). there's tutorials all over the place, just look for "drawing API" on any flash page. If you are familier with the basic concepts of Triginometry, it shouldn't be too hard to do. i must warn you though.. it will be extremely processor intensive.

you could also invest in Swift 3d which is a 3d vector program. will export right to .swf
