Flash button 'hit'

I'm still learning how to create things in flash. Right now I'm having trouble getting a button to work. I created the button symbol and put a rectangle with 25% opacity with a black border. In the over state I make the 25% go to 100%. Simple button. If I check 'enable simple buttons' then it works perfectly. However when I Publish the flash file, or test it, it won't work right. When I move the mouse over the button nothing changese, UNLESS I put it right over the 1px border. I tried putting a rectangle in the 'hit' frame that was the size of the entire button but it still doesn't work. What am I missing?

Looks like your problem is with the text field over the button. Set it so that it's no longer selectable (uncheck the "selectable" icon on the properties panel).
