Flash & Director

Does Director do the same things that Flash does? I'd been trying to figure out how to design a CD for work. Everyone suggested that I use Director, but then I was sent to a Flash class. I learned that I could create the CD in it. But would Director be better suited for that purpose? I haven't studied Director and don't know what the difference is between it and Flash.

Howdy...

That's really big question, and to simply answer your question... (I've used Director for 6 years and 4 years with Flash...)

Use Director if you are willing to learn things... Generally speaking, Flash is pretty much ripped off version of Director in a way... I am not trying to make any argument here... Both have their own good and bad faces...

The bottom line is that if you are to work in this field succesfully, you'd have to know ins and outs of each programs... But overall for the CD project with big amount of multimedia elements such as video and audio, Director will work better for you...
