What the fianal size should be flash image file have?

that depends on your site - if it's about flash or design or something arty, people won't mind downloading your masterpiece.....if it's the home page for a company that sells nuts and bolts, then the smaller the better! If you put a splash screen animation on your home page give people the chance to skip intro - but my advice would be don't do it in the first place - it just bores people and IMHO flash is capable of stuff that will impress them with it's functionality and give them a good feeling about your site, not make them think "jeez, do they think I've got all day?"

get any imported images down to the right size (pixels)before importing them, reduce jpg quality in the publish settings and select Compress Movie in the publish settings - if it's a big movie consider splitting it up into seperate swfs and loading them only when they're needed......

short answer is no.......you can use javascript to check whether the user has flash though, various examples on the web, and serve up html for those that don't.

hope this helps,
