The two I use a lot are the Friends of Ed “Dynamic Content” and the O’Reilly “ActionScript for MX the definitive guide” Also for the more basic stuff is the Friends of Ed “ActionScript Studio”
The Friends of Ed books are really good if you are just starting out with this stuff. They generally have you typing in the code in “expert” mode right off which I found to be a much better approach than using the point and click interface because you will learn the syntax much faster and become familiar with it much faster.
