Hi guys,
does anyone know how reliable Flash video is in MX 2004? I've posted this query to a couple of sites, and no-one seems to be in a position to say whether Flash now is a viable alternative to Real Video, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Hi, a friend of mine went to a macromedia convention a while ago where they demo'd the mx 2004 suite. He said they had mission impossible 2 within flash as an example of it's video compression quality. The original non flash was around 625-700 meg. It compressed in flash to about 125 and he said the quality was really good. They got it down to around 60 which looked a bit crappy.

Flash Video - Streaming or Progressive?
It does work well in different speeds, under 90k the quality decreases, you have to encode video at 15fps and reencoded in cleaner xl for flash(flv) at 15fps to get a good quality. You can publish at 30fps and the quality is great
