Flash, XML interfaces

Ok, i have no idea on this one, but i'm wondering if you can tell flash way to do from XML and use them in flash?? Or even if there is some other programable interface?

Any comments, idea's welcome!!!

Mark.

Flash, XML interfaces

I have been doing quite a bit with integrating XML and Flash.

(you can see an example at http://www.yessios.com/yessios_2.0/main.html )

Macromedia has a tutorial on making a JPEG slideshow using XML data at
http://www.macromedia.com/support/f..._slideshow_xml/

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply Ax, not exactly what i was looking for... what i was hoping you could do was create shapes etc with XML (or some other similar resource) and have a flash movie display then. Unfortuantly, i couldn't find any info about this on google either so no worries

Thanks again!

Mark.

XML is about formatting/storing data. If you really wanted to, you could have XML store a list of verices, and then have Flash draw what is specified, but I don't think what you want is possible.

Yeah i guessed , unfortunatly the idea relied on users being able to create custrom shapes with different qualities etc. guess flash just doesnt have a public API

Thanks for all your help,

Mark.
