Flash Video - Free dev tools
Greetings,

I'm interested in learning more about flash but don't have the capital to invest in a dev tool at the time. Are there any good free tools for developing flash videos or apps?

Hi, FlashDevelop is free and lets you create swf files without the Flash IDE. It is a purely code based system though unlike the Flash IDE which gives you access to graphical drawing tools.

There is a sticky thread at the top of the forum which has a list of most of the various ActionScript editors. Some have more features than others and some are free whilst others are not. Dig through the list and see which you like. The thread is here.
