Grouping what displays in browser preview
I have a lengthy movie built in Flash and now have to add more content to the end. Is there anyway that I can avoid having to view the entire movie when I preview it in the browser window? I need to preview the new material, but sitting/clicking through the existing 15 mins each time isn't a good thing... looking for some kind of way to designate where preview begins maybe?
Thx! |

I'm not too sure I understand what you're asking...but if you are asking how to create a preview before a flash movie, you would most likely need to use Scenes. Create a scene for your intro (preview) and then another for your movie. The more scenes you use the easier it is to edit and control. It's like layers, if you created a flash movie with 1 layer, you will have a hard time editing it. The more layers, the more efficient. The more scenes, the more efficient.
Hope that helps. (To create a new scene, go to Instert --> Scene) (To view and manage scenes, go to Window --> Panes --> Scene)

Then when you preview (referring to ctrl+enter), can you preview specific scenes?
Sorry if I didn't post my question clearly. Basically, when I preview, I have to watch the entire presentation, which is 15 minutes long. So, when I make a change to the very end, in order to preview that change, I first have to sit through 15 minutes of stuff I don't need to see. I would really like to find a way that would let me preview a specific group of frames. ![]() |

That's what i thought you meant. And yes, just create a new scene, it's easier to watch and edit things that way.
Just copy and paste the frames you want to move, or you can open the Scene Window Pane (ref: above) and copy a scene that is already created, and then just delete what you don't want. If you don't have movie instances (movie symbols that you brought onto the stage) you can watch the movie from any point by just pressing [ENTER]. Good Luck! |
