Hi, you can use the Adobe Media Encoder that should of been installed along with Flash. You use that to convert avi, mpg and other video formats to flv or f4v which Flash can then load as an external file. You can read about how to use the Adobe Media Encoder here on the Adobe site.
For playing the video you can use the FLVPlayback component that comes with Flash. There is a tutorial for how to use that here on the Adobe site.

No, usually the file size is smaller. You can see an estimate of the size at the bottom of the right hand side. So add a video to the queue and then click the "Settings" button to open the encoding properties for that file. It is on this screen that you see the estimated size at the bottom. This lets you see the size as you change the quality settings so you know what to expect.

With the help of converter, using .flv and .swf
or
file->import ->video. then browse to select the your video file. It doesn't need any script.
