Flash Video - I need help in flash

I have a flash project that contains buttons..please keep in mind this is an older version Flash 8,..the buttons direct to a url.. when I publish It..and watch It...and try the buttons,..Instead of it going to the url..It is looking for the complete directory on my computer ex: C:/users/desktop/project folder/project/www the site com so..needless to say its not going to the url I'm trying to direct it to. how can I fix this..I'm not sure If the problem is a setting on my computer or a setting in my flash program.
