image scroll with form values to PHP

Ok, I am trying to create a small image scroller that will have a left and right button either side, plus an ok button. Depending on which image is showing, I want a different value sent to a small PHP script which then displayes the correct value on the page (this part is easy) but I am new to Flash Actionscript. Is it possible?

If you have any suggestions or example code I would be VERY happy!!
