Is it possible to create a file button in Flash
Hello All,
I was wondering is there a component anyone knows of for browseing local files or is there a way to create on with actionscript.

You might have a possible workaround here: http://flashkit.com/board/showthrea...wse+local+files
But the overarching answer is browsing local files is not easy/possible from Flash. If you get inventive like that first link talks about, you might have a chance. It will be one heck of a hack though... And one last search before I posted gave a fairly fruitful result: http://www.flashkit.com/board/showt...threadid=186810 Though it notes it only works for IE, now that Mozilla is doing better than IE for support for things you may have a chance! ~panhead490
