loadMovie vs. loadSound
Hello!
I have created a Flash Jukebox using Flash 5. I have the option of converting this to Flash MX if need be. My problem is playing the MP3s in the Jukebox. There can be a small or a large number of MP3s available for the Jukebox to play. The MP3s are full songs. The current problem is that it takes too long to buffer the music before it can start playing it. I currently have each MP3 loaded into a Flash movie. I then use loadMovie in order to play the movie. Is there a way to get the songs to play sooner? Thank you. |

If you're using Flash MX, then you can use loadSound set to streaming to allow you to start playing the MP3's instantly. It will also save you making all those .swfs....
