Macromedia type buttons

I would like to create Flash buttons simlar to those on the Macromedia site (on every page at the top, except the home page)

When moused over they fade darker and on mouse out the fade back to their original state.

I can almost achive this efect, but the problem I have with my version is that if you keep your mouse hovered over the button it continualy fades in and out, whilst on the Macromedia buttons when the mouse is hovering over the button they stay at the mouse over darker state and only fade back to their original lighter state once the mouse has gone.

Any help would be appreciated!

Charlie

Send a message via Yahoo to bret
how are you doing it? are you using buttons or movieclips for your buttons? are you scripting the fading, or putting a fading animation on the over state?... it would probably be easiest to do with just script... but it would be helpful to know how you approached the problem

If you've got a movieclip in the Over state of your button, just put a stop(); command in at the point you want the animation to wait.
