Masking troubles

I am having problems with my mask. As you can see in the image, it works fine within Flash but when viewing in the Flash Player the masking doesn't work. I have no idea why this is not working. Any ideas?

I’m not sure about the mask but from what I’ve read you shouldn’t try to attach code inside of a button. At least I think that’s right. It’s been a while sense I read about that part and I have just avoided trying to put much of anything inside of a button aside from movie clips, short animations. You might try burying it one level down in a movie clip.

or try just putting your masked stuff in a movieclip, and just place the movieclip on your on/over/down states
