Menu with multimple movieclips

Hey,

I'm struggling a bit. I need to construct a menu like system with about 5 options. Each option will be a rectangle roughly 200 x 500 pixels and will come up one at a time depending which you choose from a Combobox. Inside each option, there are small movieclips whic can be dragged from the menu onto the stage. I can get this part ok, but the part that is giving me grief is when you swap between menu options, I need the movieclips which have been dragged out to remain where they are. I can't stop them from disappearing at the moment. Any ideas?
