How to move an existing site to a new root folder?

Hi, when I first created my website I defined it in a random folder of my own choosing. Now, many months of construction later I want add some php related stuff and have to setup a proper local testing server.

I therefore have to move the whole thing to an htpdocs subfolder in MAMP - how can I do this so all links and filepaths etc are updated?

    Thanks!

If the folder hierarchy is the same within the new folder and the index page in the same position it shouldn't matter if you move everything. Try copying everything into the new location and opening the index.
