movieclip with letters attached

I want to make a movie clip where by changing a variable on it the letter on it would change. This way, I could place manny movieclips on the stage at once and change the letters programmatically.

Hi, i made this up for you. Its a really bizaar looking ani. The focus here is the code not the look. The look is what you've got to take care of! All the code is in the first frame. Two types of text are created. The first is dynamically created dynamic text boxes (say that 3 times). The second is manually created dynamic text boxes within movie clips. You really have to just take a look.

thanks alot. That eval() function is basically what I needed. I didn't know you could grab references to objects in flash. If you are interest in the way that I'm using it, I've attached the flash file.
