Neat Effect:

At the website www.wa007.com there are two buttons which you use to choose your screen mode. On rollover the buttons seem to produce a neat looking glowing or brightness effect. Does anyone know a way to achieve this in Flash? Thanks!

Hi, made this up for you. It uses the effect you specified. I'm not 100% sure whether the backpanel glow effect is done the same way. I kind of suspect that a handmade texture was used. In this file there is a movie called back panel. The first layer is the glow panel which currently is a simple rectangle. I think they might have used a gif/jpg with a gradient fade on the sides. This could then be used in place of the rectangle. That would give you a nicer glow.

Thank you very much for your help Tann. The shape tweening and color mixer that you used made some great glowing effects and I learned alot. I've included something similar below softening the fill edges.
