newbie question

Hi,

last time I did something with Flash I used version 3 :-). I am planning to make some silly game in Flash for my website. I would appreciate it if you give me some pointers.

you'll be in for a nice surprise - flash has come on since version 3 it's very easy to start adding interactivity to movies and create simple games, but what you need to know depends on what you want to make - I would suggest you have a look at some of the flas for download on sites like www.actionscripts.org - many games there to learn from. It also has a good book review section, & I'd recommend investing in one - I got a lot out of the friendsofed book Flash Games Studio, but that was for flash 5 & I dunno if there is an mx version out - important differences in the syntax and approaches (plus friendsofed went bust didn't they? shame )
