Preloader Question
Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this.
I have been making a preloader for a flash file that is about 288kb. The preloader works fine and all but the only problem is that even the preloader appears once the movie has loaded about 90%. If I look at my bandwidth profiler, 256k is at Frame 1. Frame 2 has 0kb and frame 3 has 47k. The preloader is in Scene 1 and the main movie is in Scene 2. Scene 1 which is the preloader only has some text and a gradient bar. Scene 2 has everything else. I dont understand why the Movie has 256k on Frame 1. Could some please help me out? This has been a very wierd problem. thanks in advance. Greg |

Hi, I remember someone else asking a similar problem a while ago here. It's a bit hazy in my head but do you have any audio in there. I think that can sometimes result in similar results. Or maybe embedded images or video. Theres lots of things that flash will load in at frame 1.

Hi, i have a lot of linkage movieclips that get called by
"attachMovie" no audio just a lot of images that are linkaged I have a menu and when ever a user clicks those menu items, it calls a linkaged movieclip from the library. The linkaged movieclips have quite a bit of images + text in them. could this be the problem? is there a way around it? thanks ![]() |

Hi, oh that might explain it then. In the linkage options do you have "export in first keyframe" enabled?
