problems with IE and mac

Hi, I'm hoping someone will be able to help with this one...

I have developed some flash games that can be edited through xml files. These files control varaibles, sounds and graphics.

On the first few frames there are some preloading scripts that bring all the neccessary resources in to dynamically loaded empty clips where they are store for future use.

These games work perfectly from a CD, and on all windows browsers. They also work on a mac OS9 with ie 5.0. They do not work on OS9 with IE5.1 versions. The games refuse to load all the graphics and therefore do not progress past the loading scenes, or they crash the browser.

I have tried using a mac orientated loading script but no change.

Any ideas?
