Raise .swf to top of screen in .html

Hi, I thought I read something about this recently, but I can't find it anymore. I have a .swf embedded in an .html page. The .swf size is 600 x 450. It works fine on my Mac, but I need it to work on standard PC screens. Because there is a border between the top of the .swf and the top of the .html page, the bottom part of the .swf is not visible without scrolling. If I could move the .swf up closer to the top, without an extra border on the .html page, it could be visible. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

I am sure there is but I think it is an html issue, You might want to repost this in that area. I know that this happens with any embedded objects sometimes like applets and the like.

Thank you for your suggestion. I did repost over there, and was advised to add:

<style>
body {margin-top: 0px;}
</style>

in the header to reset the top margin to 0.

While it helped a little, there was still some margin at the top. I decided to eliminate the .html altogether, since my .swf was filling the screen.

Well then it would be nice if you posted a link to the site to see the results if you feel so inclined.

I'm not sure I understood what you asked for, but if you want to see the .swfs I did, they're here http://fog.ccsf.cc.ca.us/~lfried/vo.../vocabulary.swf

I was originally embedding the .swf inside an .html file. There are four different .swfs that load on level0, but they all fill the screen. Since I couldn't get rid of the top border, which made it necessary to scroll down a bit on a PC to see everything, I just removed it from the .html file and I'm linking to it as a .swf, so there is no top border. Is that what you meant?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but linking directly to a swf causes all kinds of problems, in some cases it will simply download the swf to the computer

Hmm well thanks for the info. I haven't had that happen yet, but I'll see what else I can do.

To make it completely no margin I always add:
<BODY bgcolor="#000000" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"> in the html.

Thanks for your information too. I only needed the top margin at 0. I redid the one .swf that was a bit too big and shortened it a bit. Then I went back to the .html, using the margin-top: 0px suggestion. It's working fine I think. Thanks again everyone. ( http://fog.ccsf.cc.ca.us/~lfried/vo...vocabulary.html )
